SENIOR LEADERSHIP
This course is for school or college leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school / college responsibilities.
During this 18-month programme, you will develop your leadership knowledge and expertise to improve outcomes for teachers and pupils in your school.
Take the NPQSL to help boost your knowledge and confidence as you perform senior leadership roles or progress into one.
This course will help you gain confidence and develop expertise in:
leadership knowledge and the specialist expertise needed to tackle school improvement priorities
supporting the development of a positive, predictable and safe environment for pupils
contributing to your school’s strategic direction and establishing an environment for pupil success
helping ensure staff feel supported and valued
You will get to train alongside peers with similar responsibilities. The course content focuses on the key challenges leaders face in their role.
Each topic is explored through the lens of the work of a senior leader.
Within each module there are opportunities for you to complete formative assessment activities which will enable you and your facilitator to reflect on and evaluate the progress you make whilst completing the qualification.
As with any professional development, the more you put into the process of learning the more you will be able to take from it. This qualification requires commitment and time as well as a willingness to try new things, make mistakes and extend your knowledge, skill and understanding.
